About the position

Exciting Opportunity - Senior Agricultural Collateral Valuation Specialist.
Location: Centurion.
Job Type: Permanent.

One of our clients, a South Africa's only specialist agricultural bank dedicated to serving both commercial and emerging farmers through innovative financial services is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Collateral Valuation Specialist to provide professional valuation services that support effective collateral management across various provinces.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Conduct detailed assessments and valuations of agricultural assets including land, farms, plantations, livestock, crops, and equipment.
  • Perform on-site visits to assess collateral condition and value.
  • Prepare comprehensive valuation reports including viability analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain an agricultural knowledge database.
  • Conduct agronomical assessments and provide technical advice.

What You Must Have:

  • A relevant 3-year qualification in Agriculture or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Valuator in the Agricultural sector.
  • 5+ years' experience in Agricultural businesses, Co-ops, or similar organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of property and loose asset valuation principles.
  • Understanding of risk management and lending/credit assessment principles.
