Senior Accountant

About the position

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In addition to overseeing financial processes and ensuring compliance with regulations, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections
• Conduct financial analysis to assess performance,  profitability, and financial health
• Prepare variance analysis and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and implement accounting controls to safeguard company assets
• Prepare and file tax returns, stay updated on tax regulations, and assist in tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities

Requirements:

• BCom degree
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
