Senior Accountant Financial

About the position

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical Accounting Degree
• Minimum 4 - 5 years' Accounting experience within a senior environment

The role is responsible for the preparation of periodic consolidated financial management accounts, preparation of all statutory compliance reports, filings, and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform monthly VAT reconciliation andd submission
• Processing all monthly journals, including recurring journals
• Company month end closure and compliance to accounting standards and company timelines
• Reconciliation of all the company's financial general ledgers
• Prepare the Corporate branch financial and management reports which includes detailed variances analysis
• Preparation of monthly payroll schedules
• Assist and co-manage all comapny external and internal audit with Finance Manager

KNOWLEDGE/LEGISLATION:

• Public Finance Management Act of South Africa (PFMA)
• Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
• King Code for Corporate Governance and Practice
• All relevant VAT, Tax and Finance Legislation
