About the position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General assistance: Providing support to skilled electricians during installations, inspections, and repairs.
- Site preparation: Preparing work areas, including clearing debris and setting up equipment.
- Material handling : Assisting with the movement and organization of materials and tools.
- Basic electrical work: Performing tasks like wiring new and remodelled buildings, replacing fuses, and working with low-voltage AC and DC systems.
- Equipment operation: Using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as directed.
- Installing and connecting wiring: Running cables, connecting wires, and ensuring proper connections.
- Testing and inspecting: Checking the functionality of electrical systems and components using various testing devices.
- Troubleshooting and repairs: Assisting in identifying and repairing basic electrical faults.
- Following safety procedures: Adhering to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintaining inventory: Keeping track of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Responding to requests: Assisting with the client's requests and addressing electrical issues.
- Operating and maintaining equipment: Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Working with different voltage levels: Handling low to high-voltage AC and DC systems (e.g., 6v to 480v).
- Using tools like conduit benders: Bending and threading conduit to run wires and cables.

About The Employer:
Our Client based in Saldanha Bay and Lutzville is looking to acquire Semi-Skilled Electricians that will be based in one of their Sites either in Saldanha Bay or Lutzville. The successful candidates should possesses the following skills and experience:
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 / N3 Electrical engineering will be advantageous
- A valid drivers licence
- 1-2 years' experience as a semi-skilled fitter in a maintenance and mining environment will be advantageous
- Willingness to perform stand- by/callout duties, night & rotation shifts and work overtime as and when required.
- Ability to action tasks and then document as per allocated job cards
