About the position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting in the assembly of boiler parts and components, such as tubes, plates, and rivets.
• Performing basic welding and cutting tasks under the guidance of skilled boilermakers.
• Preparing materials and equipment required for the construction and repair of boilers.
• Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit metal parts.
• Assisting in the installation and repair of piping systems and other related equipment.
• Assisting in the testing and inspection of completed boilers to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and equipment.
• Following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on the job site.
• Assisting in the interpretation of blueprints and technical drawings to determine work requirements.
• Reporting any issues or problems to the supervisor or skilled boilermaker.

• 1 to 2 years Metallurgy / Boiler Making

Desired Qualification Level:

• Grade 12 / Matric

About The Employer:

Our client based in Saldanha Bay and Lutzville is looking to acquire Semi-Skilled Boilermakers which will be based in one of their Sites either in Saldanha or Lutzville. Successful candidates should possesses the following skills and experience:

Minimum Requirements




- Atleats 1 years' experience as a Boilermaker Assistant.
- Essential skills include welding (MIG/MAG and/or stick), cutting, grinding, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of boilermaker development techniques and tools.
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification, or an NQF Level 4 qualification will be advantageous
- Use of machines and tools including their design, repair and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of boilermaking principles
