Position: Technician
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and support of our integrated security and fire detection systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Security Systems:
- Installing and maintaining Access Control systems (Gallagher, IMPRO, IDEMIA, Paxton).
- Deploying and configuring IP Surveillance systems (Milestone, Avigilon, Pelco, Axxonsoft, Hikvision, Hanwa Techwin, Axis).
- Implementing Intruder Alarm systems (Ajax Wireless Systems, Texecom).
- Installing physical security solutions like Turnstar boom gates, vehicle barriers, turnstiles, speedstiles, and steel bollards.
- Fire Detection Systems:
- Conducting fire risk assessments.
- Installing and maintaining fire detection systems (Technoswitch, Ziton, Bosch).
- Integrating fire suppression systems.
- SAQCC approval and training is a requirement.
- System Integration:
- Integrating Building Management Systems (Tridium BMS).
- Collaborating with software integrators for seamless system communication.
- Technical Requirements:
- Working with access control panels, card readers, biometric scanners, and QR code scanners.
- Installing and configuring high-definition IP cameras, NVRs, and VMS.
- Setting up intruder alarm panels, motion detectors, and alarm sirens.
- Installing fire detection panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, and fire alarm sounders.
- Working with physical barriers, turnstiles, and bollards.
- Proficiency in access control management software, video management software, alarm monitoring and management software, and fire detection and alarm management software.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Conducting site surveys.
- Performing professional hardware installations.
- Testing and commissioning systems for optimal functionality.
- Maintenance and Support:
- Performing regular maintenance visits.
- Providing 24/7 support services.
- Implementing system upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security and fire detection systems.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of relevant hardware and software.
- Familiarity with the specified brands and technologies (Gallagher, Milestone, Ajax, etc.).
- SAQCC Approved.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
