Location: Krugersdorp, Gauteng
Position Overview
An opportunity has become available within the company for an experienced and reliable Security Manager who will oversee and manage all security operations, including guarding services, control room operations, and health & safety compliance, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, staff, visitors, and assets.
Responsibilities:
1. Security Operations Management:
- Oversee all on-site guarding operations and security personnel.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective action.
2. Control Room Management:
- Supervise and manage control room operations (CCTV, access control, alarms).
- Ensure 24/7 monitoring and response readiness.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and reporting systems.
- Ensure all surveillance and security systems are fully operational and maintained.
3. Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning (fire drills, evacuation procedures, etc.).
- Maintain safety records and ensure staff training compliance.
4. Team Leadership & Administration:
- Manage security staff scheduling, performance, and discipline.
- Conduct training and toolbox talks.
- Liaise with external security providers, contractors, and law enforcement where necessary.
- Manage security budgets and resource allocation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (essential).
- PSIRA Grade A certification (essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior security management role.
- Experience managing control room operations and CCTV systems.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Valid driver’s license.
