About the position
We are looking for an experienced Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) to identify proactively, resolve, and manage complex technical incidents and problems within client infrastructures. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coach and mentor junior team members while ensuring service levels are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, test, and maintain client infrastructure.
- Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents promptly.
- Investigate and resolve third-line support issues, identifying root causes.
- Escalate to and liaise with vendors or third parties when necessary.
- Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.
- Coach Level 2 teams in advanced troubleshooting and best practices.
- Manage and implement projects within the relevant technology domain.
- Support disaster recovery functions and conduct recovery testing.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience in managing complex security infrastructure in a managed services environment.
- Strong background in IT engineering within medium to large ICT organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work effectively under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computing or equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, Firewall vendor certifications; advanced certifications like CCIE or CISSP are advantageous.
