Section Surveyor

About the position

Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently looking for an Section Surveyor to be based at a mine in Gauteng!



Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (Chapter 17), SHE policies, and operational standards through inspections, audits, and leadership.
• Lead and participate in Visible Felt Leadership initiatives to promote a culture of Zero Harm and operational excellence.
• Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and reliability of survey equipment and control networks, both surface and underground.
• Manage and develop a high-performing survey team with clearly defined roles, competencies, and aligned operational goals.
• Provide expert surveying services and strategic input to enhance data integrity, technical accuracy, and overall mining efficiency.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma or Degree in Mining Surveying or Mineral Resource Management
• Registered with SAGC and / or IMSSA
• 5 years mine Surveying experience
• 3 years in a Senior Surveying position
• Valid driver’s license
