About the position

Postion Summary:
iThemba LABS seeks to appoint a Secretary too provide secretarial and general day to day office administration services to the TAMS Laboratory. The incumbent will be responsible for comprehensive professional and efficient secretarial/administrative support, as well as the day-today running of the department and handing sensitive and confidential issues in a professional and objective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Secretarial Support to scientists, stakeholders and users of TAMS Laboratory
• Logistics and event coordination
• Communication & Reporting to Stakeholders
• Administrative SupportMinimum Requirements:

Qualification:

• National Diploma/NQF 6 related to Secretary work/Office management

Experience:

• 3 years working experience as Secretary or Personal Assistant.
• Experience in a technical environment or similar environment
• Computer Literate with MS Office packages

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with public sector procurement processes
• Familiar with collaborative documentationAble to handle sensitive information, making confidentiality a paramount concern
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently is fundamental Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multitask
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlinesAdditional Notes:
