About the position
A well-established logistics and freight forwarding company based in Boksburg is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Operator with quotations and administration experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Sea Freight Operator
- Strong import and export sea freight experience
- Experience preparing freight quotations
- Solid administrative and documentation experience
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer literate with freight forwarding software experience advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate import and export sea freight shipments
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotations
- Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, customs brokers and clients
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation
- Track shipments and provide customer updates
- Coordinate customs clearance and final deliveries
- Process shipment administration and maintain accurate records
- Resolve shipment queries and ensure excellent customer service
