About the position
My client based in Bellville is currently looking for a Scrum Master to join their team on a permanent basis.
IT / FINANCE
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Relevant IT qualification (Degree or Diploma) advantageous.
- Relevant Agile certifications (CSM, A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM I/II, SSM, SASM, SA, ICP).
- 4+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or delivery leader in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ability to apply them pragmatically.
- Experience supporting PI Planning and working in a large Agile Release Train or scaled structure.
- Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of the release process, SDLC, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
- Passion for servant leadership and enabling team success.
Responsibilities
- Coach and guide multiple cross-functional squads within a scaled Agile environment
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, PI planning, Scrum Sync, Inspect & Adapt) with purpose and engagement
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog and deliver incremental business value
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers to improve flow across squads
- Promote a high-performing, empowered team culture built on trust, openness, and accountability
- Support the broader Agile Community of Practice and continuous improvement initiatives

- Deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices
- Use of Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, predictability, WIP) to drive improvement
- Empirical process control, fostering transparency, inspection, and adaptation
- Understanding of product delivery lifecycle and interfaces with design, architecture, testing, and release management
- Strong collaboration, decision-making, and team-building capabilities
- Personal attributes: action-oriented, plans and aligns, optimises work processes, balances stakeholders, builds effective teams
