About the position
Scrum Master (Contract)
Location: Bellville, Cape Town
The Opportunity
This is a contract role for a Scrum Master who brings more than process… someone who can genuinely enable teams, unlock flow, and drive meaningful delivery.
You’ll work across multiple cross-functional teams within a scaled Agile environment, contributing to both team performance and broader programme alignment.
Key Responsibilities
• Enable teams to operate as self-managing, high-performing units
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies with structure and purpose
• Remove impediments and improve delivery flow
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain focused, value-driven backlogs
• Drive visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies
• Support cross-team alignment and programme-level delivery
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Qualifications
• Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
• Agile Certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe or similar)
Experience
• Minimum 4+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or delivery lead
• Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Exposure to scaled Agile or multi-team delivery environments
• Proven ability to coach teams and improve delivery outcomes
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks
• Skilled in facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to influence across teams and leadership levels
• Understanding of Agile metrics and delivery performance
• Knowledge of SDLC and product delivery lifecycle
Tools
Jira, Confluence, Miro (or similar collaboration tools)
