Scientific Technician Production

About the position

• Proven ability in designing and compiling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with experience in training staff and students on their implementation. Demonstrate experience in supervising diverse teams, including Work Integrated Students. (WIL), junior staff and Advanced Diploma students.

Lecturing experience in aquaculture related modules, with involvement in curriculum development.
Practical experience in live production including both phyto- and zooplankton culture techniques.
Strong background in data management and reportinmarg
Support and conduct aquaculture research projects. Develop and implement SOPs and provide related staff training.
Supervise and mentor WIL students, EPWP staff and Advanced Diploma students.
Assist with lecturing aquaculture modules and qualification development.
Assist with live food production systems (phyto-and zeeplankton). Ensure biosecurity compliance and maintain system hygiene. Assist with student training, fieldwork and training. Collect, analyze and submit accurate production statistics for cultured species to national and international bodies.
