About the position
To provide professional, efficient, and organised administrative and front-office support to the Intermediate Phase. This role ensures smooth daily operations, effective communication with parents and staff, and a welcoming environment for learners and [URL Removed] and Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential
- A relevant certificate or diploma in reception, office management, administration, or secretarial studies is preferred
- Experience in reception, office administration, or PA support
- Computer literacy is essential - proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and emergency protocols
- Experience working in a school environment is essential
Key Performance Areas:
- Welcome and assist learners, parents, and visitors in a professional manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries
- Maintain reception order, visitor logs, and access control processes
- Handle documentation, filing, correspondence, and general office administration
- Maintain accurate learner and parent records
- Prepare documents, reports, letters, and communication for the school
- Assist with academic and operational tasks such as timetable updates, assessment coordination, and staff communication
- Support the coordination of phase events, activities, and academic functions
- Assist with basic first aid when required
- Distribute notices, circulars, and updates to parents and staff
- Ensure smooth communication between the teachers, learners, and parents
- Draft and format documents and messages when required
- Manage diaries and schedules for the intermediate school
- Coordinate meetings, book venues, arrange logistics, and prepare required materials
- Use school systems such as SASAMS (or similar)
