About the position
Introduction
The Regional WIL Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the development, management and promotion of the SOE's regional WIL programme, ensuring the provision of quality and effective Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities within the SOE.
Duties & Responsibilities
Core Functions
• Review systems, policies and procedures, with a view of continual improvement.
• Track, support and report on student activity regionally during semester-based Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) sessions.
• Effective support of regional management and support of students prior to, during and upon completion of their WIL experience.
• Effective leadership of Mentor Assessors prior, during and completion of WIL regionally
• Assist with sourcing and interviewing candidates for regional mentor assessors.
• Build partnerships with schools and principals.
• Coordinate WIL bootcamps and ongoing developmental workshops.
• Provide ongoing support and development for students regionally.
• Coordinate Teaching Practice modules on BEd and PGCE programmes.
• Review content for Teaching Practice academic delivery, liaising with various academics and departments.
• Grading of Teaching Practice modules including assignments (online) and school-based practical assessments.
• Lecturing: planning, preparation and delivery
• Attending all general staff and SoE meetings
• Attend ongoing training sessions
• Assist with academic publications to advance the research agenda in WIL.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Honours Degree (essential).
• Master's Degree (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years' lecturing and/or management experience.
