RequirementsWhat You'll Bring to the Team
We're looking for a confident, client-facing SAP Payroll expert who can lead from the front and deliver exceptional results. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven Delivery Experience – Successfully delivered 3+ end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations, from discovery and blueprinting through to go-live and hypercare, with at least one implementation in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- South African Payroll Expertise – Strong, up-to-date knowledge of SA payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, ETI, IRP5/IT3(a), SARS eFiling, and Bargaining Council requirements.
- Deep SAP Configuration Skills – Hands-on expertise configuring SAP Payroll, including payroll schemas, personnel calculation rules (PCRs), wage types, infotypes, Payroll Control Centre (PCC), and South African localisation.
- Client-Facing Consulting Experience – Proven ability to facilitate design workshops, blueprint sessions, and fit-gap analyses, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Exceptional Communication Skills – Confident engaging with senior HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, producing high-quality functional documentation, and presenting complex solutions with clarity.
Stand Out From the Crowd
You'll have a competitive edge if you bring any of the following:
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Certification
- Ability to advise clients on ECP vs SAP S/4HANA Payroll, helping them choose the best-fit solution.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestments, or organisational payroll transformations.
- Exposure to multi-country African payroll implementations, including markets such as Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, or Nigeria.
- Additional SAP SuccessFactors module certifications beyond Employee Central Payroll.
Qualifications
- A degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Equivalent experience supported by a relevant diploma will also be considered.
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll certification is highly advantageous, with additional SAP SuccessFactors certifications viewed favourably.
