About the Project
Step into a high-impact environment where technology drives transformation. This project focuses on delivering technical and functional support and maintenance services for SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4HANA systems.
As an SAP Solution Manager Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring system stability, performance, and optimization — enabling business continuity across complex, mission-critical SAP landscapes.
Your Role
You will take ownership of SAP Solution Manager (7.2 or higher), configuring, maintaining, and optimizing its core functionalities to support diverse SAP environments.
Your expertise will help integrate change management, incident management, and monitoring processes — ensuring seamless operations and proactive system improvement.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
System Configuration & Administration
- Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager 7.2+ for ECC6 EHP7 and S/4HANA systems.
- Implement and manage ChaRM, Incident Management, and Business Process Monitoring.
- Deploy and maintain ALM tools for Technical and System Monitoring.
Technical & Functional Support
- Monitor performance via EarlyWatch Alerts and Health Checks.
- Troubleshoot ECC6/S4HANA issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with functional teams to document and monitor business processes.
- Configure BPO and Interface Monitoring; provide user training and knowledge transfer.
Change & Release Management
- Drive change requests using ChaRM, aligning with organizational governance.
- Manage upgrades, migrations, and releases with minimal downtime.
- Maintain transport management in line with SAP best practices.
Maintenance & Optimization
- Proactively enhance system stability, scalability, and performance.
- Conduct health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Support integration and interface monitoring across SAP and third-party systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain robust documentation of configurations and resolutions.
- Generate analytical reports on performance, incidents, and change metrics.
- Present regular updates to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
What You’ll Bring
Experience
- 5+ years hands-on with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 or higher.
- Strong background supporting SAP ECC6 EHP7 and/or S/4HANA.
- 3+ years managing ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, and BPM.
- Proven experience with system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements.
Technical Proficiency
- Deep expertise in Solution Manager modules (ChaRM, ALM, TM, Incident Mgmt).
- Knowledge of SAP Basis administration and transport management.
- Familiarity with ABAP debugging and SAP system integration.
Functional Insight
- Ability to align business processes with Solution Manager capabilities.
- Understanding of SAP FI, CO, MM, SD modules and interdependencies.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – Solution Manager
- SAP Certified Application Associate – S/4HANA
- ITIL Foundation (or higher)
