About the position
We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Project Manager who knows their way around SAP implementations in the mining industry. If you have 10+ years of experience, thrive in fast-paced environments, and love turning complex projects into success stories, this could be the perfect fit.
You’ll be leading SAP rollouts from start to finish, working closely with IT, operations,
finance, and external vendors. Your ability to keep projects on track, budgets in
check, and stakeholders aligned will be key to delivering high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end SAP project implementations within the mining industry.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives and stakeholder
expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, and
external vendors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful execution.
• Facilitate effective communication between business units and technical teams.
• Conduct performance monitoring and reporting on project progress.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, compliance standards, and SAP methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for SAP and related business processes.
Technical Requirements:
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP modules (such as MM, PM,
FI/CO, SD).
• Experience with SAP integration, configuration, and data migration.
• Understanding of mining industry operations and SAP solutions tailored to the sector.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
• Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and SAP Fiori is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
• Ability to analyse business processes and align SAP functionalities with
organizational goals.
Qualifications Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in SAP implementations.
• Mining industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Degree preferred (Business, IT, Engineering, or related field).
• SAP Certification is a strong preference.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
