About the position
My client based in Johannesburg is currently looking for a SAP Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
IT / FINANCE
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or Pharmaceutical Management, or a related field
- Formal Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile certification
- 3-5 years of experience managing IT or business projects, ideally in Supply Chain, Retail, or Pharmaceutical industries
- Proven experience delivering SAP or ERP implementations (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, MM, SD, WM modules)
- Experience working within structured PMO/governance environments
- Skilled in vendor and third-party management
- Exposure to both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong project planning, scheduling, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Teams, and SharePoint
- Understanding of business processes across IT, Supply Chain, and Pharmaceutical operations
- Strong financial management ability (budget tracking, cost control, and variance reporting)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills
- Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving and risk management skills
- Working knowledge of SAP environments and system integration points
