SAP (PO/PI)

About the position

One of our clients in the manufacturing industry in Johannesburg is looking to hire a SAP PO/PI Consultant on a 12 month contract, to be the first point of engagement of users (internal) for SAP integration and related matters telephonically or on e-mail and via the ticketing system for the group.



Duties and Responsiblities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions between SAP and other systems
• Experience executing a business blueprint and documenting business requirements as well as functional specifications.
• Development of project documentation, requirements gathering, and project management methodology experience required.
• Experience with SAP S4 Hana a plus.
• This includes configuring adapters, mappings, and routing rules, as well as troubleshooting and supporting existing integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills.
• User engagement support - day to day support of SAP PO and logistics department as quickly as possible and minimize adverse impact on operations, utilizing the group ticketing system to assist in the management of the ticket lifecycle.
• Assist to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Apply strong problem solving and analysis through a substantial technical background in SAP PO. This is to be liaised through to the 3rd line support for rectification at root level.
• Ensure to keep up to date with the technical knowledge required to perform these tasks.
• To continuously keep up to date with the Applications and Technical landscape to perform support and problem-solving duties effectively.
• Works hand in hand with the Applications and Technical teams to effectively optimize the ticket process life cycle.
• Needs to contribute to and adhere to the governance requirements in the ICT Service Desk and User Support procedures.
• Creating and configuring integration scenarios using SAP PO/PI, CPI .

Minimum requirement:

• 5 years of experience working with SAP PO/PI and Logistics (direct and indirect procurement and inventory management) as well as participation in full life cycle implementations (or equivalent experience) required.
• Familiarity with SAP PO integration into PP, SD, FI/CO, QM, IBP, PS, VIM etc.

• A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 -15 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 3-5 years of related work experience
• Degree in computer science, accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA or Business Undergraduate degree preferred). SAP certification/s highly preferred.
