About the position
Lead and manage the SAP EWM operations team (+20 DevOps engineers), ensuring effective day-to-day Incident resolution, support and continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
Planning, organising and participate in 24/7 support related activities.
Plan, coordinate and oversee SAP maintenance tasks, system changes and technical projects across the EWM landscape.
Monitor system health, perform proactive health checks and lead dump / trace analysis to prevent and resolve incidents.
Provide 2nd level support escalation for critical incidents and coordinate resolution with development and infrastructure teams.
Collaborate with development teams to understand new transactions, role creations and access requirements affecting EWM operations.
Implement and enforce SAP security requirements, internal controls and compliance within the EWM framework.
Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvements to reduce repeat incidents and improve operational resilience.
Manage stakeholder communication and present technical findings, risks and recommendations to business and IT leadership.
Ensure projects and maintenance activities are delivered on time, within budget and according to standard processes.
Support go-live preparations and cutover activities for EWM rollouts or enhancements, assuring quality of design and tests.
Batch job management, including monitoring, administration, requesting/co-ordinating with ESAS (or other tools).
Coach and train team members and end-users as required to raise capability and operational knowledge.
Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks and functional documentation for EWM supportability (YPA for example).
Consolidate and present KPI reporting.
Support Incident assignment, resolution and related communication and administration.
Facilitate calls for High and critical Incidents.
Be able to articulate business scenario, impact, risk, affected partners and assist with facilitation of Incident resolution.
Reporting on various levels (team, sub-product level, product level, cluster level, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience:
Extensive SAP practical system knowledge with typically 6+ years' experience in SAP operations and EWM related projects.
Solid experience with Project Management methodologies in an SAP environment and proven experience executing system maintenance and non-functional projects.
IT degree or equivalent technical qualifications with strong background in ABAP and HANA technologies desirable.
Essential Skills Requirements:
Proven expertise in SAP configuration and operations.
Strong experience with SAP landscape monitoring, system health checks, dump / trace analysis and monitoring tools.
Hands-on knowledge of SAP modules integration (EWM, PP, FI, CO, MM, LE) and cross-module troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and experience managing technical operations teams supporting SAP landscapes.
Proven ability to plan and execute SAP maintenance tasks and system changes in complex landscapes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis of production incidents.
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and working with Agile teams.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and solution manager for incident, change and knowledge management.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including ability to present technical topics to non technical audiences.
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
Experience with SAP HANA and ABAP concepts relevant to EWM performance and customizations.
Experience with SAP EWM integrations to LE/PP/MM/SD and warehouse automation technologies.
Knowledge of SAP Fiori and modern SAP UI technologies for warehouse operations.
Familiarity with cloud and middleware technologies used in SAP landscapes. Experience with test automation tools and test management (Xray, Xsuite, Tosca) and CI/CD for SAP. ITIL process knowledge and experience operating within ITSM frameworks.
Experience with SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (SAP Cloud ALM or CALM) for monitoring and change control.
Familiarity with security and authorisation processes for SAP (and more specifically EWM and warehouse roles).
Willingness to travel internationally when required.
