This 6-12 month CONTRACT opportunity is based in SANDTON, JHB.
About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced SAP Fioneer Consultant to join a leading financial services project. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong SAP Fioneer expertise with in-depth knowledge of banking and insurance processes. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing innovative financial solutions across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP Fioneer solutions, including Core Banking, Payments, FPSL, and FDS.
- Translate financial services requirements into effective SAP Fioneer architectures and process flows.
- Lead or support solution implementations, upgrades, and integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Develop and customize system components using Python, Java, C++, or ABAP.
- Create modern, user-friendly interfaces with SAP UI5 and Fiori.
- Perform data modelling, database management, and advanced SQL querying.
- Apply AI and machine learning concepts within financial product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery excellence.
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization for SAP Fioneer modules.
- Document solutions and best practices to enable knowledge sharing.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise with SAP Fioneer solutions (Core Banking, Payments, FPSL, FDS).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, ABAP).
- Experience with SAP UI5, Fiori, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Hands-on knowledge of databases, data modelling, and SQL.
- Exposure to AI and machine learning in financial contexts.
Qualifications:
- Matric plus a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field (advanced degree advantageous).
- 3+ years' hands-on SAP Fioneer (or equivalent SAP banking solutions) experience.
- Previous experience in the banking or insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Relevant SAP certifications will be an advantage.
