About the position
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Process & Project Consultant to lead and coordinate market rollouts within a global finance transformation program. The ideal candidate will have strong financial process knowledge, project/change management expertise, and the ability to influence key stakeholders. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of a global SAP financial template across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Rollout Coordination
- Coordinate market-specific rollouts within the financial product stream.
- Maintain oversight of processes, structures, and delivery outcomes for the assigned Feature Team.
- Fit-to-Template Process Implementation
- Lead Fit/Gap workshops to introduce and align local teams with the global template.
- Document findings, track gaps, and collaborate with product experts to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure data collection sheets (master data & customizing) are completed accurately.
- Testing & Defect Management
- Oversee implementation and testing of the Feature Team solution for the assigned market.
- Monitor defect logs and coordinate resolution in collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Plan and facilitate training sessions for end users and key stakeholders.
- Ensure proper handover and support during go-live and stabilization phases.
- Migration & Authorization Activities
- Facilitate migration mapping workshops, ensuring comprehensive and accurate results.
- Ensure authorization and security-related topics are addressed in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Agile Team Support
- Actively contribute to wave planning, backlog grooming, and sprint activities.
- Support UAT planning, cut-over activities, and provide ongoing support post-rollout.
Requirements - Minimum 10 years' experience in financial process optimization, ERP implementation, or finance transformation projects.
- Prior involvement in global SAP template rollouts.
- SAP knowledge (especially in FI/CO modules).
- BCom in Accounting or related financial discipline (essential).
- Postgraduate degree or professional certification (e.g., CIMA, SAICA, ACCA) highly beneficial.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA is advantageous.
- In-depth process and accounting knowledge across key finance areas (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Investment Accounting, Cost Accounting).
- Strong business acumen and understanding of corporate financial structures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at various organizational levels.
- Proven experience in change and project management within a complex, global environment.
- Ability to take ownership, drive outcomes, and manage delivery against tight timelines.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as per the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.
