About the position
We are seeking a hands-on SAP ERP Functional Specialist with strong experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales & Distribution) within a retail environment.
This role sits at the intersection of core ERP and digital commerce, ensuring SAP supports inventory, pricing, order processing, and supply chain workflows across physical stores and online platforms.
This is not a Business Analyst role — we are looking for a functional SAP consultant with configuration and operational ERP experience.
Key Responsibilities
SAP MM / SD Functional Ownership
Configure and optimise SAP MM and SD modules
Support purchasing, inventory control, stock movements, and pricing updates
Manage sales order processing and supply chain workflows
Ensure alignment to grocery retail best practices
Omnichannel Integration
Integrate SAP with e-commerce platforms and order management systems
Ensure accurate product, stock, and pricing data flows
Monitor and troubleshoot IDocs, batch jobs, and system interfaces
Resolve integration errors between SAP and digital platforms
Operational ERP Support
Provide functional troubleshooting and production support
Work closely with Supply Chain, E-Commerce, and IT teams
Drive continuous process improvement within SAP-enabled workflows
Required Experience
5+ years SAP MM and SD functional experience
Proven hands-on SAP configuration experience
Retail or grocery industry experience (highly preferred)
Experience integrating SAP with e-commerce platforms
Strong understanding of:
Inventory management
Pricing conditions
Sales order processing
Supply chain execution
Experience with IDocs, batch jobs, and SAP interfaces
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability
Highly Advantageous
SAP IS-Retail exposure
S/4HANA experience
Omnichannel retail integration experience
Exposure to order management systems (OMS)
Experience in grocery / FMCG retail
