Are you an experienced SAP Technical Specialist with expertise in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), Data Archiving, and SAP Applications Operations?
We're looking for a skilled SAP professional to join a large enterprise retail technology environment, where you'll be responsible for managing the complete SAP data archiving lifecycle, ensuring optimal system performance, database health, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability across critical SAP platforms.
What we're looking for:
?? 5+ years' relevant SAP experience
?? SAP ERP experience is essential
?? SAP BW and SAP CAR experience highly advantageous
?? Relevant SAP Certification or 3–5 years' SAP Retail Support / SAP ERP experience
?? Extensive experience in SAP Applications Operations, Business Processes, and Process Integration
?? Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes and technical architecture
?? Knowledge of System Integration and Intermediate Documents (IDocs)
?? Experience analysing database and table growth aligned to business processes
?? Object-level data analysis and ongoing database monitoring
?? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and recommend alternative solutions
?? Experience assisting with solution design and technical consulting
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate end-to-end SAP archiving implementations with business stakeholders and SAP Technical, Functional, and Support teams
Coordinate documentation, testing, approvals, and business sign-off activities throughout the archiving lifecycle
Ensure legal and business retention requirements are incorporated into archiving strategies
Configure and administer SAP Archive Development Kit (ADK)
Create and maintain SAP Archiving Objects
Perform Technical Customising for SAP Archiving
Support pre-archiving and post-archiving activities
Identify and coordinate SAP housekeeping activities with support teams and business stakeholders
Schedule, execute, and monitor all SAP data archiving jobs
Monitor archive administration and resolve failed or incomplete archive sessions
Activate and maintain Archive Information Structures
Set up and monitor recurring archive jobs and archive execution schedules
Manage and maintain archiving timelines
Monitor ongoing database operations and archive performance
Assist with archive document retrieval training where required
Support new storage system migration testing
Participate in SAP upgrade testing relating to archiving and storage
