About the position
The consultant will provide technical and functional support and maintenance services for SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA systems, focusing on SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC) modules. The role involves ensuring system stability, optimizing performance, and supporting business processes related to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation.
RequirementsRole and Responsibilities
· Functional Support:
o Configure and maintain SAP BPC modules for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.
o Implement and support Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodologies within SAP to enable accurate cost allocation and profitability analysis.
o Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement solutions in SAP BPC and ABC.
o Provide expertise in financial reporting, data integration, and master data management for BPC and ABC processes.
o Support end-users with training, documentation, and issue resolution for BPC and ABC functionalities.
· Technical Support:
o Perform system configuration, customization, and optimization for SAP BPC and ABC on ECC6 EHP7 and S/4 HANA platforms.
o Develop and maintain BPC scripts, logic, and business rules using BPC Script Logic, BADIs, and other relevant tools.
o Ensure seamless integration of BPC and ABC with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM) and external systems.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BPC and ABC, including data load errors, performance bottlenecks, and system integration challenges.
o Support system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements, including transitions from ECC6 EHP7 to S/4 HANA.
· Maintenance Services:
o Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
o Apply patches, updates, and enhancements to SAP BPC and ABC modules in alignment with SAP best practices.
o Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning for optimal functionality.
o Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and custom developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BPC (Standard and/or Embedded) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC) implementations.
o Proven expertise in SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA environments.
o Experience with at least 2 full-cycle SAP BPC implementations, including planning, budgeting, and consolidation processes.
o Strong knowledge of SAP Controlling (CO) module, particularly Cost Center Accounting (CCA) and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), as they relate to ABC.
o Experience in SAP system upgrades or migrations, preferably from ECC to S/4 HANA.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in SAP BPC Script Logic, Dimension Management, and Business Rules configuration.
o Expertise in ABAP programming for custom developments (e.g., BADIs, user exits) in BPC and ABC.
o Knowledge of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) for data modeling and integration with BPC.
o Familiarity with SAP HANA database and its impact on BPC Embedded and S/4 HANA.
o Experience with integration tools like SAP Process Integration (PI/PO) or SAP Data Services for data flows between BPC, ABC, and other systems.
· Functional Skills:
o Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.
o Expertise in designing and implementing ABC models for cost allocation and profitability analysis.
o Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
o Strong knowledge of SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) and its integration with BPC and ABC.
