Salesforce Testing Lead (Automation)

About the position

• Define and implement Salesforce QA strategy, covering functional, regression, integration, non-functional testing and performance testing.


• Develop end-to-end test plans for Salesforce modules (Sales, Service, CPQ, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and integrations with third-party applications.


• Ensure APEX unit testing and code coverage requirements are met in collaboration with developers.


• Test Coverage and traceability against all requirements


• Validate Lightning components, workflows, triggers, and complex business logic.


• Defect Management – ensure there is a process to manage defects, collaboration with Stakeholders and Developers


• Conduct API testing using Postman, SOAP UI, and REST Assured.


• Validate Salesforce integrations with external systems (ERP, Middleware, Payment Gateways, CRM, and other enterprise platforms).


• Work with development teams to test APEX REST/SOAP services, Platform Events, and Bulk API processes.


• Implement and manage test automation frameworks for Salesforce using tools like AccelQ.


• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and data validation across Salesforce instances.


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines


• Conduct performance testing to validate Salesforce scalability and response times under load.


• Collaborate with Security teams to ensure compliance with Salesforce security best practices and data integrity.


• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.


• Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, business analysts, and product owners to ensure smooth releases.


• Work with Scrum teams in an Agile environment to prioritise testing efforts and drive sprint quality goals.

 


Minimum Requirements:

• Expertise in Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, CPQ, Marketing, Experience).


• Strong knowledge of Salesforce metadata, custom objects, triggers, flows, reports, dashboards, and SOQL/SOSL queries.


• API Testing & Integration experience (REST, SOAP, Platform Events, Batch Apex, External Services).


• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps in Salesforce projects.


• Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr).


• 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce QA/testing, including end-to-end implementations
