Sales Trainer

About the position

To support the sales division with the onboarding of new sales consultants by ensuring that adequate and relevant training is provided hereby equipping sales consultants with the necessary technical and functional knowledge.

Role Responsibilities

1.Onboarding

• Induct new sales consultants and develop a learning roadmap as part of their onboarding.
• Preparing and conducting technical training programs on systems, processes, and services.
• Assess additional training needs which may be required by sales consultants.
• Conduct presentations and webinars with new and existing sales consultants.
• Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, and the relevant systems training.
• Evaluating effectiveness of the training to specific needs of the division to maintain good standards.

2.Coaching & Mentoring:

• Support line managers with refresher training of existing sales consultants
• Ongoing coaching on presentation skills.
• Sharing all changes to systems, processes, and services as and when necessary.
• Providing feedback from evaluations and or training sessions.

3.Refresher Training:

• Prepare and present training on topics sales are struggling with.
• Plan and execute refresher sessions.

4.Reporting:

• Analyse and report on feedback from consultant evaluations and share with line managers.
• Support in measuring of implementation and improvements of new or existing initiatives.
• Provide progress reports to line managers on new and existing sales consultants.

Qualification, Experience and Skills

• Matric qualification
• Bachelor's degree or Certifications in Communication, Education or Training
• 3-5 years' experience as a Senior or Executive sales consultant within SAHL
• Comprehensive understanding of products, services, and offerings
• Holding classroom training sessions
• Proven knowledge in coaching & mentoring abilities
• Ability to report on and analyse data related to learning & development
• Technical systems knowledge
• Proficient in MS office suite
