About the position
Our international client, operating within the engineering solutions industry, is looking for a skilled Sales Representative to join their team in Boksburg, Johannesburg.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining profitable ongoing customer relationships to generate income for the business. Actively promote and sell the company products in order to achieve or exceed budgeted order intake, revenue and gross margins.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Market and sell a range of earthmoving equipment offered by the business.
- Achieve sales and margin targets as agreed to with management.
- Assume overall ownership of smaller market penetration.
- Provide punctual and accurate reporting with regards to all CRM and other sales reports.
- Assist in the development of proposals and or quotes.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities (i.e. daily cold calling/prospecting for new business).
- Work with Customers to understand their requirements.
- Manage and maintain time management.
- Comply with all of the companies' policies and procedures.
- Be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Ensure that customers are always well informed on new and existing range of equipment.
- Provide solutions with regards to machine applications.
- Must be able to travel to visit customers and clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years sales experience.
- Product and market knowledge.
- A strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machines.
- Knowledge of machine applications and reasonable technical knowledge as well as Ground Engaging Tools (GET) and undercarriage.
- Computer literate in MS packages with SAP experience preferred.
- Prepared to travel and work additional hours.
- Able to deal professionally with middle and senior management and customers.
