About the position
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and open new accounts with retailers across KZN.
- Secure product listings and ensure effective placement in-store.
- Increase order frequency and expand the product basket with existing customers.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with store owners, buyers, and decision makers.
- Conduct regular store visits to support merchandising, promotions, and brand visibility.
- Gather and share competitive market intelligence to guide strategy.
- Implement growth strategies to drive sales and brand penetration and support all brand marketing / business development related activities.
- Represent the brand at trade events, in-store activations, and retailer meetings.
- Provide after-sales support and problem-solving for customers.
- Maintain accurate records of visits, sales, and prospects using digital tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in stationery sales, with a history of working for a stationery brand.
- Strong existing network and relationships within the stationery retail sector.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle (role requires extensive travel).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and results oriented.
- Solid IT skills for reporting, CRM use, and communications.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Passion for high-quality stationery and brand building.
- Clear credit C criminal record
