Sales Representative

About the position

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Representative to join their team in Johannesburg South.
Minimum Requirements

• Matric (tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Management advantageous)
• Proven experience in sales and business development
• Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly advantageous
• Experience in the packaging, box manufacturing, printing or related industries will be beneficial
• Strong cold calling, prospecting and lead generation experience
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
• Target-driven with the ability to work independently
• Good understanding of the sales cycle and pipeline management
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel to customer sites
• Afrikaans-speaking candidates will be preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Generate leads through cold calling, networking and client visits
• Conduct sales presentations and promote products and solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities
• Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate sales reports
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Research new markets and identify potential customers
• Work closely with internal sales, production and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts
