About the position
Background:
- Exciting career opportunity for a Sales Rep within a distribution and marketing organisation
Minimum Requirements:
- BCom or Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Polymer Science
- At least 2 years proven experience in the field as well as sales to the manufacturing industry
- Proficient on MS Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License and your own reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of import and export advantageous
- Willing to travel into Africa
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
- Present, promote, and sell products/services to new and existing customers
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed monthly/annual quotas
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-lasting customer relationships
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services to provide technical answers and solutions
- Update customer data, track sales activity, and analyze and research market potential
- Competitor analysis
