About the position
Our client based in Riverhorse valley that is in the workwear industry is looking for a Sales representative.
Sales Representative Job Purpose: To generate new business and maintain client relationships, the core products are manufacturing workwear, medical wear, corporate wear and PPE. The Sales Representative is responsible for securing orders, assisting customers with product selection and sizing, coordinating branding requirements, and ensuring smooth communication between clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Actively seek new business opportunities using own sales methods, networking, cold calling, and client visits
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand uniform and PPE requirements.
- Present product options and advise clients on suitable garments, and branding solutions.
Client Support & Order Management
- Assist customers with garment sizing where required.
- Prepare and submit accurate quotations in line with company pricing structures.
- Follow up on quotations and convert them into confirmed orders.
- Ensure all order details are correct before submission to production.
Supplier & Internal Liaison
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock availability, pricing, and lead times.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing department on garment production timelines.
- Work closely with branding departments (embroidery, digital printing, etc.) to confirm artwork, placement, and branding specifications.
- Keep clients informed about order progress and delivery dates.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain updated records of customer interactions and sales activity.
- Provide regular feedback and sales reports to management.
- Assist with resolving customer queries, delays, or quality concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in sales
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and generate own leads.
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, quotation systems)
- Valid driver’s licence would be an advantage but not compulsory (if client visits are required)
