Sales Representative

About the position

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a range of plastics/PVC additives, maintaining and expanding existing accounts, and driving new business development within the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Call on existing customers and maintain strong relationships
• Conduct extensive cold calling and new business development
• Identify and establish technical requirements specific to customer needs
• Promote and sell a range of PVC/plastics additives
• Achieve and exceed sales targets
• Provide technical product support and guidance to customers
• Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Sales/Marketing Diploma or Degree (Advantageous)
• Chemistry qualification (Advantageous)
• 3-5 years' sales experience within plastics, PVC additives, or related chemical environments
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets
• Strong technical selling ability
• Computer literate (MS Office & ERP systems such as Syspro or similar)
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
