Technical Sales Rep
Steelpoort, Burgersfort, and Lydenburg
The role focuses on promoting and selling diesel and motor engineering services, field services, and truck rebuild solutions to the mining and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ technical sales experience in mining and construction, a strong understanding of diesel engines, earthmoving equipment, and mining machinery.
Candidates must be resident in the Limpopo area for at least five years, hold a valid driver’s licence, and be target driven. A technical qualification in diesel/petrol mechanics or field service will be advantageous.
The role requires frequent travel and flexibility, including after-hours client engagement when required
Key Responsibilities
- Register and maintain the company on vendor lists of all key mining and industrial clients in the region.
- Actively promote company services to new and existing customers.
- Represent the company as a trusted local supplier of diesel/motor engineering and field services.
- Support company products, divisions, and distributors to drive regional sales growth.
- Service clients in the mining and construction sectors with a focus on diesel engines and truck rebuilds.
- Identify and report sales leads, tenders, and quotation opportunities to the Sales Manager.
- Submit weekly client visit and sales lead reports.
- Maintain and update the customer database in collaboration with the Proposals department.
- Gather and report competitor intelligence, including products, pricing, and market strategies.
- Travel long distances and overnight as required.
