SALES REPRESENTATIVE - INTERNAL / EXTERNAL SALES

About the position

An established company within the industrial supply sector is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join their team.

The successful candidate may come from either an Internal Sales or External Sales background and should have a strong ability to build customer relationships, generate sales and provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with new and existing customers
• Handle customer enquiries, quotations and follow-ups
• Identify new sales opportunities and actively grow the customer base
• Provide professional and efficient customer service
• Follow up on leads, quotations and outstanding opportunities
• Liaise with customers regarding products, pricing and availability
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute towards business growth
• Resolve customer queries professionally and timeously
• Maintain accurate sales and customer information

Requirements

• Previous sales experience - Internal or External Sales
• Strong customer service and relationship-building experience
• Confident communication and negotiation skills
• Sales-driven, proactive and target-oriented
• Ability to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts
• Valid driver's licence - essential
• Own reliable vehicle - advantageous
• Experience within fasteners, tools, hardware, engineering supplies, industrial products or a related environment would be advantageous
• Good computer and administrative skills
