About the position

Red Ember recruitment is recruiting for a Sales Representative/Industrial Sales for our client in Durban.

Key performance areas and indicators:

• Sales & Business Growth: Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets. 
  
• Customer Acquisition: Follow up on leads within 24 hours and develop new business opportunities.
  
• Technical Consultation: Match the right adhesives to various textures (wood, plastic, paper, carton, boards) based on customer needs.
  
• Product & Industry Knowledge: Work closely with the lab to provide clients with the best adhesive solutions, competing directly with industry rivals.
  
• Account Management: Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, provide product training, and manage stock levels.
  
• Debt Collection & Admin: Assist with collections, customer queries, and ensure accurate reporting.
  
• Compliance & Operations: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, stock management, and distribution
  

RequirementsExperience:

• Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in adhesives, paper & packaging, chemicals, or a related industry
  
• Proven track record in business development and sales
  
• Knowledge of adhesives (water-based, solvent, and hotmelt) (advantageous)
  
• Experience with Salesforce (advantageous)
