About the position

DBN000231 - SALES REPRESENTATIVE – (ENGINEERING/DISTRIBUTION) - CPT
 
ROLE PURPOSE:
To act as a technical advisor and salesperson, identifying client needs to recommend, demonstrate, and sell complex engineering products.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Tertiary Qualification (Preferably in Engineering)  – Highly Advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years on the road selling experience
  • Engineering Services experience
  • Stable work history

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical Sales & Presentations: Explain complex technical concepts simply, provide demonstrations, and present solutions to client.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Identify new business opportunities, build long-term relationships, and maintain contact with existing clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, applications, and industry trends to act as a subject matter expert.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure, close, and renew sales orders.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Assist customers with product questions, installation, or technical issues.
  • Reporting: Track sales, monitor customer feedback, and report market developments to management.
