About the position
We are seeking motivated Sales Representatives to join a leading industrial equipment company, specialising in earthmoving machinery. This is a hands-on sales role, offering the opportunity to build relationships with customers, promote high-quality equipment, and achieve measurable results in a dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities
- Market and sell a range of heavy machinery, including Backhoe equipment.
- Develop and maintain profitable customer relationships to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
- Work closely with customers to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist in proposals, quotes, and customer finance facilitation.
- Inspect machinery prior to delivery and ensure proper documentation, including warranties.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer experience, including aftersales support.
- Travel to customer sites as required and maintain regular reporting on sales activity.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ overall sales experience, including at least 3–5 years preferably in industrial or heavy machinery with a focus on backhoe equipment.
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery applications, GET, and undercarriage.
- Valid driver’s license.
