You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, providing needs-based insurance advice, and delivering exceptional client service while ensuring full compliance with FAIS regulations and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition and achieve commercial insurance sales targets.
- Conduct client needs analyses and recommend suitable commercial insurance solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients to ensure retention and portfolio growth.
- Collaborate with internal banking stakeholders to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure all client engagements and recommendations are compliant with FAIS and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, sales pipelines, and client documentation.
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:
- RE5 Qualification (Non-Negotiable)
- Relevant qualification in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Commercial Short-Term Insurance Sales.
- Previous experience within a banking, financial services, or bancassurance environment.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including property, liability, business interruption, and asset cover.
Skills & Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of FAIS legislation and Fit & Proper requirements.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Client-centric approach with strong advisory capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
