About the position
Well-established company based in Johannesburg seeks an External Sales Representative from agriculture to join their team!
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Grade 12
- Afrikaans / English
- Must have some agricultural background
- Willing to travel around South Africa
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell company products in the assigned region.
- Identify customer needs and work with technical teams to provide solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Gather and submit market and industry intelligence.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and monitor satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and support growth.
- Assist with accurate site descriptions, measurements, and technical details.
- Liaise with the warehouse on stock, orders, and parts management.
- Coordinate with installation teams and update customers on progress.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Review quotations, ensure pricing accuracy, and monitor profitability.
- Support debtor follow-ups and ensure accurate customer accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date records, documents, and customer databases.
- Prepare and submit required reports.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
- Protect company intellectual property and handle company assets responsibly.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as required.
