Sales Rep - STEEL

About the position

A well-established company specialising in the manufacturing, supply and installation of steel and aluminium products is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Representative to service the greater Durban area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with industry experience who enjoys developing new business, building strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and lead generation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Negotiate and close sales opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Manage and grow the sales pipeline.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on quotations, tenders and pricing requests.
• Deliver excellent customer service while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' external sales experience in a client-facing role.
• Proven sales track record.
• Experience within the steel, aluminium or construction industry is essential.
• Valid, unendorsed driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel within the Durban region.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, well-presented and customer-focused.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Clear criminal record.
• Contactable references.
