About the position
The purpose of this job is to assist customers by helping them choose a product that is best suitable for their [URL Removed] such a manner that the assistance of the Sales person is appreciated by the customer when he/she purchases any product. This will include the ability to provide good customer service in such a manner that customer satisfaction is achieved, resulting in generating sales and promoting the business therefore creating sustainable growth in margins and profits.

Matric
Clear Criminal Record
Min 3 years sales experience
Hardware / retail electrical salesperson.
System knowledge and training
1.Internal stock system knowledge
2.Microsoft office (Internet, E-mails, Word &
Excel).
3.Product knowledge training
Key Responsibilities
1. Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner
2. Generate more sales, ensure customer satisfaction, by providing excellent customer service
3. Control stock levels and doing regular stock count
4. Determine customer requirements and advising on products, price, delivery, warranties as well as product use and care.
5. Advise customers with regards to range of products, which product would be best; in order to satisfy the customers’ needs
6. Demonstrate and explain the company’s product types
7. Place stock orders with buyers if necessary
8. Count stock for replenishment
9. Assist with the ongoing management of stock such as product inventories and participating in stock takes
10. Attend to relevant admin tasks including upkeep of customer book, special orders file, forwarding of invoices and other relevant paperwork
11. Ensure merchandising is done according to company’s merchandising standards and that the products are priced correctly
12. Participate in perpetual stock takes
13. Ensure good housekeeping of work area
14. Perform any work-related task as delegated by superior
