About the position
A well-established food ingredient raw material manufacturing and distribution company requires the above to lead, oversee and grow all sales and operational aspects of the business within the food and beverage industry.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A BCom in sales and marketing or national diploma in food sciences would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Previous sales experience managing key accounts and developing new business within the food and beverage food ingredient raw materials industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth is essential.
- Proven experience in sales management within the food and beverage or any other chemical raw material industry supplying the manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential.
- Good financial management understanding is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a sales team towards achieving goals. ?
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading, overseeing and growing all sales and operational aspects of the business within the food and beverage industry.
- Managing key accounts and driving the development of new markets and products into the food manufacturing industry.
- Managing sales targets and impact of rates of exchange on profitability.
- Managing development of new products and supply chain into new markets.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and expand market share. ?
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Monitoring customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Managing product introduction, new product development, customer satisfaction and centricity, negotiation of supply agreements and existing contracts and supply agreements.
- Responsible for managing working capital.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
