Sales Manager (Private Sector)
We are searching for a driven, results-oriented Sales Manager to lead revenue growth and expand the company's private sector footprint while managing a high-performance sales team.
The successful candidate will initially manage a team of two employees, with plans to expand the team over the next 1-2 years.
Purpose of the Job: The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth through new business development, key account expansion, and strategic sales execution. The role focuses on increasing private sector contribution, managing the sales team, and ensuring full alignment with the company's sales processes, systems, and performance targets.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Revenue Growth, Business Development & Pipeline Management
- Deliver revenue in line with company targets
- Achieve new business targets
- Grow and retain existing client accounts
- Lead private sector business development across target industries
- Convert qualified leads into revenue-generating clients
- Build and manage a strong, active pipeline using CRM
- Deliver revenue in line with company targets, contributing to the annual revenue objective
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, manage, and coach KAMs and Sales Executives
- Set targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability
- Conduct regular performance and pipeline reviews
Sales Strategy, Execution & Deal Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion
- Oversee proposal preparation and client presentations
- Lead negotiations and close deals
- Approve quotes within delegated authority
- Ensure all activities align with the company's value proposition
Client Relationship Management & Retention
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients
- Conduct regular client engagements to identify growth opportunities
- Support resolution of client issues and ensure service alignment
Reporting & Marketing Alignment
- Compile weekly and monthly sales reports
- Present performance insights and recommendations to management including EXCO
- Monitor pipeline health and sales performance
- Align sales activities with marketing initiatives and lead generation efforts
Sales Process, Compliance & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Ensure adherence to all sales processes and SOPs
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure service delivery meets client requirements
- Support Finance processes through credit applications and invoice follow-ups
- Ensure smooth client onboarding and internal alignment with all Stakeholders

Minimum requirements:
- 5-10 years proven external sales experience in the courier/logistics industry
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing a sales team
- Strong experience in business development and account management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (advantageous)
- Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office, CRM systems)
- Valid driver's license is essential
- Clear credit and criminal record
****TCTC - R85,500,00 (Benefits - Company Car, Fuel Card, Company Cell Phone)
The company car amount will be allocated as car allowance for the first three months then after a company car will be allocated to the manager.
The Fuel card for the first three months the manager will claim for fuel capped at 9 litres per day then after with the car they will be provided with fuel card.
