About the position
Our client is a leading provider of specialised training and professional services and is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team.
This role would suit a service-based B2B sales professional who has successfully sold into the mining, construction, petrochemical or engineering sectors.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Management or Sales Leadership
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong B2B sales and business development experience
- Previous experience selling services into the mining, construction, petrochemical or engineering sectors
- Experience selling training, consulting, professional or technical services will be advantageous
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a sales team
- Strong negotiation, communication and client relationship skills
- Commercially and strategically minded
- Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting and CRM activity
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Lead, coach and manage the sales team
- Drive new business and personally close key opportunities
- Identify and develop new market opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage sales pipelines, targets and forecasting
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements
- Monitor sales activity and performance
- Drive effective CRM usage and sales processes
