Duties & Responsibilities
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will:
- Drive sales and distribution strategy across your region
- Lead, develop and coach a team of financial sales advisors to achieve sales targets
- Own and manage branch-level budgets, productivity and performance
- Identify coordinated sales opportunities and unlock new business channels
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, governance and customer value delivery
- Build strategic external partnerships and local market presence
- Lead with influence, accountability and purpose
This is a FAIS-aligned leadership role requiring full compliance with Fit and Proper regulations, honesty, and integrity.
Desired Experience & Qualification
What You Bring
- Matric (Gr 12) and relevant qualifications
- FSCA Approved Qualification
- FAIS compliant with COB and CPD credentials across relevant product categories (B1, B2, Retail Pension Benefit)
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Proven leadership experience in a financial services sales-driven environment
- Strong understanding of the long-term insurance industry
- Excellent communication, analytical, and team development skills
- Advantageous: Experience with Group Schemes or completion of MODP (Old Mutual alumni)
- Advantageous: Managerial or business-related qualification
