Salary: R20,000 neg + agreed petrol allowance

Our client, an established manufacturing company, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Executive to generate new business and develop existing customer accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively prospecting, visiting customers, understanding their label requirements and managing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, order placement and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach prospective customers, arrange customer visits, build a sales pipeline and generate qualified new business opportunities.
- Understand customer requirements, including label applications, materials, sizes, quantities, artwork and delivery requirements, and coordinate accurate quotations.
- Develop existing customer accounts, reactivate dormant customers, follow up on quotations and enquiries, negotiate within approved pricing and credit limits, and secure repeat business.
- Confirm customer specifications and delivery requirements with the relevant internal teams before handing orders over to production.
- Maintain accurate customer records and provide regular updates on sales opportunities, forecasts, wins, losses and required follow-ups.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide professional service throughout the sales process.
- Follow up consistently with customers and ensure opportunities are progressed through to completion.
- Work with marketing and internal teams to follow up on relevant enquiries and identify further sales opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience in winning new customers and developing repeat business.
- Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence are essential.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Sound commercial judgement with an understanding of pricing and margins.
- Ability to learn and understand product specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate sales records.
- Experience in labels, printing, packaging or manufacturing sales will be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, meet sales objectives and manage multiple customer opportunities.
- Must be comfortable with customer visits and field-based sales activities.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive, confident and commercially focused Sales Executive who is able to generate new business while developing existing customer relationships. The successful candidate should be comfortable with prospecting, customer visits, negotiations and following opportunities through from the initial enquiry to quotation, order and repeat business.
Success in the role will be measured through pipeline growth, profitable orders, customer development, consistent follow-up and accurate handover of orders to production.
Agreed objectives and structured performance reviews will form part of the appointment.
