About the position
Kwena Human Capital, a leading recruitment business, is currently looking for a well-connected Sales Executive with solid experience in the events, entertainment, and equipment-hire industry to join the company's fast-growing events and festivals division.
If you understand how festivals, corporate events, private functions, and live entertainment come together - and you know how to sell into those spaces - this role is for you.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- 2+ years of proven sales experience in events, entertainment, equipment hire, hospitality, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of how events are planned, booked, and executed
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Willingness to travel extensively
- A network within festivals, venues, agencies, or corporate event planners- advantageous
- Confident communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Passion for events, live entertainment, and delivering exceptional client experiences
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Source and secure new business across festivals, corporate events, hospitality venues, private functions, and entertainment agencies
- Sell our full range of offerings:
- Event equipment (single items or full package deals)
- Entertainment packages
- Musicians, DJs, performers, and live acts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event organisers, venues, production companies, and corporate clients
- Identify opportunities to place our musicians and entertainers into gigs
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations
- Manage your sales pipeline, meet targets, and drive revenue growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of equipment and entertainment services
- Ability to work independently and proactively pursue new opportunities
